　　2012年—2020年，纪录片《真实生长》的拍摄历经三位主人公从高一到大四毕业的8年时间，在拍摄的近1000小时的故事素材里，有他们关于学习，关于社会，关于父母，关于师生关系，关于人生选择的真实记录。成片共4集，每集35分钟，呈现出来的挣扎、冲突的戏剧氛围，人物的欢笑，沮丧，直至每一种表情，都是青春的肆意挥洒。
　　三位来自不同家庭性格迥异的主人公——非典型学霸、不走寻常路的文艺女生和默默努力一心向学但颇有主意的乖乖女，他们是如何一步步通过独立思考与判断，摆脱原生家庭的束缚、平衡理想与现实、找到并实现自我价值的？青春真实，不止是长大。
